In just a few short weeks, it will be time to celebrate Thanksgiving! As we approach this time of the year, we are reminded to count our blessings. God has blessed each of us in countless ways!
One thing that I am most thankful for is the people that God has brought into my life. Think about that for a moment. Think about your family, friends and all of the people that God has used over the years to significantly impact your life. Allow me to encourage you during this season to spend some time remembering those special people, both past and present, whom God has used to be an extension of His love, to touch and change your life. I especially encourage you to take a moment to tell them how much they mean to you, and that you recognize that they are a gift.
Most of all, at Thanksgiving and always, I encourage you to look to Jesus whose life made the most significant impact on all of humanity as no other life could through His sacrificial death and resurrection. Let’s use this season not only to reflect, but to be used to do as Jesus did. Find someone in need to whom you can extend yourself. Watch how you end up feeling more blessed than if it was you who had received. People influence our lives in incredible ways, but only for a moment in time. Jesus influences our lives for all of eternity.
Abundant blessings to you and your family this Thanksgiving and always!
